Eric H. Hencken is a Managing Director with Porto Leone Consulting,
LLC (“PLC”) and is responsible for managing cost segregation studies
and tangible asset valuations. He has provided these services to clients
in a variety of industries for over thirteen years.
Eric’s cost segregation and valuation background prior to PLC included
Standard & Poor’s Corporate Value Consulting, PricewaterhouseCoopers
Corporate Value Consulting and Arthur Andersen’s Valuation Services
Group. He also worked nine years as a property damage appraiser and
supervisor for GEICO in Washington, DC.
Eric has performed and managed cost segregation studies on hundreds of properties, including
hotels, senior living facilities, manufacturing facilities, research & development facilities, office
buildings, hospitals, golf courses, and retail properties. He has also been a speaker at several
seminars and conferences on the topic of cost segregation. Eric has extensive experience in tangible
asset valuations for tax, book, insurance placement, due diligence, and business planning purposes in
the Healthcare, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Chemical, Food Processing, Cable and
Telecommunications industries nationally and internationally.
Eric holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from James Madison University in
Harrisonburg, Virginia and a Certificate in General Insurance through the Insurance Institute of
America. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (“ASA”) with the American Society of Appraisers and is
currently Third Vice-President of the Philadelphia Chapter. Eric is also a Member of the Royal
Institute of Chartered Surveyors (“MRICS”), a Senior Member of the American Society of Cost
Segregation Professionals (“ASCSP”) and a Member of the Healthcare Financial Management
Association (“HFMA”). |
